Manchester United are set to sign Benfica defender Victor Lindelof in a £38million deal after the Swede’s boyhood club resolved their sell-on fee dispute with the Portuguese giants.
The Red Devils are believed to have placed a bid for the Swedish international in January but Vasteras believe they are entitled to 20% of any deal involving Lindelof.
That would equate to around £7.2m – a huge fee for the club the size of Vasteras. However, according to the Mirror, the Swedish minnows have agreed a reduced 10% clause with Benfica, which has allowed the Lindelof deal to go through.

Jose Mourinho claimed earlier this week that he was not going to sign a defender but Eric Bailly’s absence in the next four weeks, as well as Marcos Rojo’s injury against Reading, has perhaps convinced the 53-year-old to make a move.
Lindelof is set to take the number two shirt at Old Trafford and will earn around £115,000-a-week on a five-and-a-half-year deal at the Theatre of Dreams.
The deal would be United’s third most expensive deal in the club’s history, behind Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba.
